In the statement, President Moise "reiterates the strong commitment of his administration to fight against discrimination of all kinds and gender inequalities on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls, celebrated this 25 November 2017 under the theme: "Leave no one behind: End violence against women and girls".
The President took this important day to advocate for an ongoing effort to empower women and girls legally and socially to significantly reduce gender discrimination that tends to undermine our society.
He also took the opportunity to announce the establishment by his administration of strong mechanisms to enable the inclusion of women in economic and political activities and to build a country that promotes gender equity and scrupulous respect for rights. women and girls who make up more than half of the population.
