President Moise inaugurated highway from Cap Haitian to touristic port of Labadee

President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Prime Minister Dr. Jacques Guy Lafontant, Ministers of Public Works, Transport and Communications, Engineer Fritz Caillot, Tourism and Creative Industries Ms. Menos Colombe Emilie Jessy, senators of the Department of the North and a delegation of the World Bank, proceeded this Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the inauguration of the road Cap-Haïtien / Labadee.

Construction of the 8.5-kilometer, 5.5-meter-wide road, financed by the World Bank with $ 8.6 million, spanned two years. It will facilitate access to this tourist site and the economic development of the Far North in particular.

Remember that the town of Labadee, the first tourist port of Haiti, receives the visit of more than 600.000 cruise passengers a year through the Royal Caribbean.
