President Moise held bilateral meeting with Cuban Vice-President while in Ecuador

In the evening of Tuesday, May 23, 2017, the President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse, held a high-level bilateral meeting with the First Vice-President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

The meeting allowed the Haitian Head of State to meet with the Cuban Vice President on various subjects of national interest and in connection with the continued cooperation between Cuba and Haiti.

During this one-on-one meeting, the President of the Republic addressed with his interlocutor issues related to technical cooperation for the construction of reservoirs which will be used to increase agricultural production. Discussions also focused on building strong trade relations between the two countries, strengthening medical cooperation, particularly in the field of hospital management, and the continuation of the agricultural scholarship program , Veterinary medicine and fisheries.
