President Moise delivered heavy equipments to local officials of Cap Haitian, to clean up the country's second largest city

President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by the Senator of the Northern Department, Nawoon Marcellus, and the Minister of Public Works, Ing. Fritz Caillot, proceeded this Thursday, January 4, at Boulevard Carrénage, in Cap-Haitien, the delivery of equipment and heavy equipment, to the Town Hall of this city and the departmental direction of the North.

In the rain, in the presence of members of the City Council of Cap-Haïtien and many citizens, President Moise delivered the equipments to the local authority, so they can intensify their work in the fight against salubrity and; help in the construction of many road throughout the country's second largest city.

Various works, including the construction of roads connecting several municipalities, are announced by the President of the Republic, as part of the Caravane of Change which will be, at the beginning of this year, in this department and throughout the national territory. About 400 km of road are envisaged. "The money of the people must do the work of the people",. Said the president his delivery of the materials.

President Jovenel Moïse promises that the State will be alongside the City Hall, the SMCRS, the Departmental Directorates, the Delegations, to fight against insalubrity.

"There must be no political maneuver around the insalubrity in the city of Cap Haitian," said the Head of State who took the opportunity to ask all local actors to get started , and announce the creation and identification of a temporary landfill site.
