President Jovenel Moïse met this Thursday, April 19, in the department of Artibonite, with 12 presidents of agricultural cooperatives gathering about 20,000 planters, to discuss the problems of the agricultural sector in the Valley of Artibonite and to come up with solutions together.

Presented in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Carmel André Beliard, coordinator of the Caravan of Change and elected local representatives, this meeting was an opportunity for President Jovenel Moise to give the farmers present a guarantee that the State will provide full support to the planters as part of the project to support rice production to give a new impetus to the development of agriculture. It will, among other things, provide local support for agricultural producers and support them from the preparation of soil to the marketing of products through processing.
While renewing their gratitude to the presdient for his commitment to the revaluation of rice production in the Artibonite Valley, the heads of agricultural cooperatives welcomed the results already achieved at production blocks, thanks to the deployment of the Caravane du Changement. They took the opportunity to thank President Jovenel Moïse for the tractors placed at the disposal of the valley.
