According to the President of the Haitian Senate, Yourie Latortue, the nominated Prime Minister, Jack Guy Lafontant, has not yet secure a majority support in both chambers of Parliament for him to be ratify for the post.
Next week, the Senate is expected to put in place a special commission to analyze the documents submitted by the designated Prime minister.
Jack Guy Lafontant, a medical Doctor by profession, was tapped by President Jovenel Moise last month to serve as the chief of his government.
Lafontant must receive the "confidence vote" of the legislative to be confirmed.
Yourie Latortue called on the President, Jovenel Moise, to continue his talk with parliamentarians to ensure that his nominee is confirmed.
