Haiti's Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) is having a lot of difficulties publishing the preliminary results of November 20th presidential election, tonight, as it promised it would, casting further doubts on the processus as hours go by without any explanation from officials.

Journalists invited to a press conference by the Provisional Electoral Council since 2PM, were told that the conference was not to make the announcement of the winner, but to inform them on how the results were going to be published.  However, all reporters were obliged to step out of the building after a power outage plunged everyone in the dark before the announcement was made. Some speculate that the CEP will made the result available online on its official website. (resultats.cephaiti.ht)

It also appears to be immense pressure on the nine members of the CEP to sign the official results before they can be released; there are some disagreements between the members; over the results possibly. One of them, Frinel Joseph, posted a quote on his Facebook page around 7 PM tonight, as journalists were still waiting outside of the building, that said: " Never accept anything in this life that demands you to sacrificed your dignity."

8 days after Haiti held an election to complete a process started since October 2015, but was cancelled, than halted numerous time for one reason or another, the suspens continues... as of 9:30 PM local time.
