Mexico donates 13 tons of humanitarian aid to Haiti

The Mexican government officially handed over to the Haitian authorities a container containing 13 tons (361 boxes) of humanitarian aid for the population that was affected by Hurricane Matthew and other tropical storms.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico (SRE) and the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Collectivities of Haiti reported that the aid consists of medicines, clothing, shoes, canned food and medical utensils.

U.N. stabilization mission in Haiti says that it soon won't be able to deliver humanitarian supplies throughout the country

 The U.N. stabilization mission in Haiti says its helicopters and other vehicles will soon no longer be able to transport supplies by the humanitarian community or schedule special flight requests.

A Friday statement says that "air and land transport resources previously available to the community will be drastically reduced in the very near future as part of the ongoing transition process" within Haiti's U.N. operations.
