Haitian officials on Monday evening held an emergency high court session which resulted in an agreement to unseal and publicly released documents relating to Jean-Claude Duvalier's indictments for money laundering  through Trump tower, during his brutal 15 years dictatorship.
The decision of the Haitian government to release these documents sealed for three decades is of course out of spite. It comes after the reported insulting remarks President Donald Trump made Thursday regarding Haiti when he qualified the country along with El Salvador and the African Continent as "shit holes."

The administration of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, seems to not have known about Haiti's possession of such files, until an extensive reporting of the American President's business dealings was published by the news outlet Buzzfeed, in which it showed that Jean Claude Duvalier, whom was ousted by a public rebellion in 1986 and who died in 2014, had purchased an apartment at the Trump Tower in 1983.
